Our farm is set in an ideal position to enable you to visit the wealth of pretty villages and market towns,  coastline,  medieval castles and historic houses that you can find in the county of Suffolk.  We list below some of these:

IPSWICH - the County Town of Suffolk with its Anglo-Saxon heritage on the River Orwell.

"CONSTABLE COUNTRY" on the River Stour at Flatford and Dedham where John Constable painted his famous landscapes.

The Wool Town of LAVENHAM with its Guildhall and its half-timbered houses.

KENTWELL HALL and  MELFORD HALL at Long Melford which is also noted for its antique shops.

BURY ST. EDMUNDS has a wonderful Cathedral and ruined Abbey,  and nearby is ICKWORTH HOUSE .

SUTTON HOO,  the Viking Ship Exhibition on the River Deben near to WOODBRIDGE with a working Tide Mill.

FRAMLINGHAM CASTLE and ORFORD CASTLE .

DUNWICH HEATH NATURE RESERVE , and also the MINSMERE NATURE RESERVE which is well-known for its bird-watching facilities and nature trails on the Suffolk coast.

SOUTHWOLD and ALDEBURGH - two quaint unspoilt seaside towns on the Heritage Coast.

The world famous concert hall and attractions at SNAPE MALTINGS.

FELIXSTOWE is more a traditional family seaside town with a very large container port.

The rolling countryside of South Suffolk is a joy at any time of the year to explore on foot, by bike or by car. Perhaps golf is your game - we have Hintlesham Golf Club on our doorstep with an 18-hole parkland course to play on.  Horse riding and fly or coarse fishing are also available near Hadleigh.
